is it okay to use a clip art for my advertising?

I had some auto magnetics made w/a background of a clip art I dowloaded from
Microsoft Publisher which I used for my flyers & business cards, so is it
okay to use the same clip art that I downloaded for my auto magnetics for my
advertising?

people use clip art for advertising all the time. that is what it is there
for. it is not really copyrighted, per se, because microsoft have them there
for you to use, even in public things.

The third sentence is about as wrong as you can get. Microsoft clipart
IS copyrighted, and Microsoft DO restrict how you can use it.
