Is it possible that SMS could disable a Active Directory Machine A

In our environment some computer accounts have been mysteriously getting
disabled
There is some question as to whether or not SMS 2003 could be possibly
Disabling Active directory accounts.
In our initial installation of sms2k3 we ran the AD schema extension utility
(Extadsch.exe)
In our site properties we have checked Publish identity data to Active
Directory(check box)

In Active Directory
The <site server>$ machine account has full control only at the
System\System Management OU
There are a few other other OUs including the Computers container that only
have
<site server>$ read.
Does sms 2003 even have the capability to disable a account in Active
Directory?

Oh yes that might be a problem :}. Do you know how I would transfer this to a
sms 2003 News group
