It depends on how you set-up the network (DC or Peer-to-Peer), the sharing /
your permissions to the folder where the database resides and the actual
database file ...
OTOH, this means that the database is shared and therefore, should be split
to Front-End and Back-End to avoid corruptions possibly caused the same copy
of the database being used by more than one person at the same time (even
though the corruptions are unlikely ...but there is a chance).
If you are not familiar with networking, perhaps you should ask one of your
network people...
