Is it possible to create a .pdf document with Excell that will di.

I am new to Excell. I would like to create a .pdf biogrtaphical document
that will be sent to a selective group of readers for completion of the blank
spaces and returned for cataloging and archiving. Can this be done with
Excell. I cannot get past the document title: each time I attempt to
backspace with an arrow to correct something the line is deleted. Are there
simple instructions for developing forms with Excell?

Bob,

Two things

Go to the cell you want and enter the text you wish to have. If you want to
use the arrow key to move the cursor to edit the text, press the "F2"
button.

As for providing general instructions. That is probably not possible
without more information about exactly what you would like to do.
(Formatting...)

Also, you need software to create a PDF. Excel does not have that
capability

Excel cannot save in PDF format. There are several programs available for
this. Most behave as though you have a new printer. You just select that PDF
printer when you print any document.

Try Google for information. There are some freebies, some that cost under
$100, and of course Adobe Acrobat (full program, not the reader).

Thanks. I do have Adobe Acrobat Writer and have used it with my scanner to
create .pdf files. However, I noticed a .pdf option under the 'File' tab in
my Excell window. Thought that gave me the option to create .pdf documents.

Thank you Paul. I understand that Excell cannot generate a .pdf document.
But would you please elaborate a lettle regarding your first sentence. I
have never used Excell before. I just want to make a questionnaire to send
out for completion and return to me for cataloging and archiving. Does
Excell offer a predesigned questionnaire under some option that I might use
as a general format?

It probably does give you that option. AIR, Adobe puts some stuff in the
PDFWRITER.XLA add-in that adds options to some menus.

Try selecting that option on the File menu. If it doesn't work, print
normally, but select the PDF "printer".
