Is it possible to disable the online shape search from the registr

Hi,
I'm trying to find a way to stop visio from searching the www for
shapes/stencils etc. Obviously this can be done from the shape search tab on
the Visio options
screen, but i need to be able to do this using the registry.

I thought it might be related to
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1201323781-2362726460-3894334835-1328\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Visio\Shape Gallery\Providers\Visio Web Shapes

as there is an "enabled" value I have tried changing this to 0 (from 1) but
this does not have the required effect.

Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks
Paul

Everything under "Software" is the correct reg key. It may be that you are
changing the preferences for a different user - you may wish to double-check
that user ID, especially if you're using an admin tool that runs under a
different user context. A quick manual sanity test would be to change the
"Enabled" value for the key under HKCU.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I have tried changing the HKCU setting and
that seems to have no effect either. I have also tried changing the setting
and checking the registry entry, but nothing changes :(

Is it possible that this setting is saved in the visio11.pip file? If so is
there anyway this file can be edited? (can't find anything on google)

cheers in advance
Paul
