is microsoft office to involved for a beginer,as i have only just started
with a PC ,also as regards my age 70 i,m a lot slower & not the same thinking
logic of the younger generation. thanking you sincerly.

I think you might start off buying Word on it own. Then if you find things
it will not do you could consider other packages.

You shouldn't have problems using office but you most likely will not find a
need for most of the features in office...

The document formats used in MS Office are commonly used in files shared
online but there are free alternatives such as Open Office available here

Neither am I. You are never too old to do anything. Best learning tool in life is life experience itself. You can always learn by reading the help files,reading books,asking for info on these newsgroups and most importantly just getting down and working on it.

Why would you think that age would have something to do with using a computer and computer programs. You are never too old .
