Is MS Office getting less customizable? (i.e. Outlook)

I noticed that the browsing capabilities of the previous version has been
removed, is this common in Office 2003? Is MS actually removing customization
and capabilities rather than expanding on them? Or is this just one thing,
while the rest of Office is expanding its capabilities?

Office doesn't include a "browser". Perhaps you could be a little more
clear on what you are trying to ask, rather than some disjointed
conjecture?

I'm sorry you didn't comprehend, let me draw it out for you. You stated that
office doesn't include a "browser", I know, if you re-read the post you will
notice that I state that as well. Though I stated that a previous version did
indeed include browser capabilities, and indeed, Office XP does include this
capability. So in a manner of speaking saying that Office in general doesn't
include a browser is false, as the previous version did.

In that the previous version of Office (Office XP) there was a browsing
capability included; this is the premise of my earlier post. In the title of
the question I state – “(i.e. Outlook)†meaning in the context of the
browsing capabilities of Outlook; such as being able to create a short cut to
a folder in the 'Outlook Bar' to any specified folder within my windows
directory of folders. Again, this did indeed exist in Office XP, a previous
version of Office - "capabilities of the previous version", and to be able to
compare and access files from within Outlook.

I know you can drag and drop a shortcut to the navigation bar, but that
isn't near the functionality of being able to what was possible with Office
XP and its previously mention capabilities and functions (there are other
functions that were also removed, but I’m not going to spend all day listing
them here for you). As this is less than what was possible with the previous
version - "Is MS actually removing customization and capabilities rather than
expanding on them?"

Finally considering that it may be possible that other areas of Office 2003
could have greatly added functionality, progression, designing capabilities
and/or customization over the previous version (Office XP) I thought I would
inquire as to whether or not the rest of Office 2003 was like this single
situation or if the rest of Office 2003 was actually different - “Or is this
just one thing, while the rest of Office is expanding its capabilities?"

If you still don’t comprehend, please don’t respond and let some one who
does comprehend, and may wish too, respond. Thank you.

If your serious, please stop trying. If not, stop playing games you're only
waisting my time and yours.

You're wasting your own time. AS stated before, Try to be concise and
just state what you want to do. I won't wade through your epistle 14
times to try and guess what you want. Start a new topic and just ask
straight out what you want to do, BUT this time lose all vague
comparisons. I won't waste any more of my time on this thread.

Well, not only does Office seem to have lost some of its functionality, but
we get people like this 'bob i' who's defensiveness seems to be his only
reason here trying to .. um.. "help"? what a waste. Definately gonig in the
wrong direction MS, thank god I don't have a serious problem with Office
2003... yet, because just an enquiry seems to beyond the capabilities of this
board depending if we’re unlucky enough to get people like ‘bob I’.
