Is Office 2007 RTM a ram hog still?

Anyone who has messed around with betas after the TR2 and prior to the RTM
version, can you confirm whether or not Office 2007 still hogs up a lot of
memory? I had 2GB of memory with an AMD 3200 (single-core) CPU and it
slowed my computer down to a halt. With Outlook constantly open as well as
one Excel window, my memory usage (peak) exceeded 2GB.

Mine never peaked above 500 mb with 2 gigs of RAM - must be something in your setup that caused this.

No one here has seen anything after B2TR (believe me, we all wished we
did!).
I have however never seen the kind of memory usage you are describing.
Have you checked how much memory Outlook and Excel each use?
