Is Office 2007 Standard Education different from Home & Office?

I have Office Pro 2003 on my old computer. Got an new HP Quad core for my
photography work. I have misplaced the disk, TBI survivor: part of my injury.
I have to have Outlook, not just word. I need an answer to above question in
order to decide what to purchase.

I like my Office-3 and really wish that I could reinstall it on my new
computer. I know how to be a good photographer, but don't know how to make a
disc of my copy that is on my old Dell-03. I just want to use my Outlook
with Word, be able to use my business contacts, my calendar which is really
important because of my accident (I'm basically lost without it) and once in
a while use Publisher. I was really hoping that someone could tell me how I
can move my Office Pro from the Dell to the HP. If it is totally impossible,
then What.? I don't think that it is right that I should have to pay full
retail when a customer service person proved that mine was installed and
registered to me. It takes me a while to write and I hope that I have
explained myself better this second time.
Thanks for answering, LVT.

When you purchased your original computer how did you come to be in
possession of a Office 2003 professional version without the original
install disk? The install disk should have been included with the program.
If it was preinstalled on the computer, it probably is an OEM version of the
software and that would prevent you from installing it on any other
computer.

To determine if it is an OEM version I think this will work. Start Word
2003 and then click Help, About. In the product ID if the second set of
characters is OEM then it is an OEM version. If it shows three digits it is
probably a retail version and should be able to be installed on a different
computer.

If you don't have the disks you may be able to use this information to
obtain replacements.

I went to the site you that you suggested and discovered that although I do
not have an OEM version, my version was through a student who got it at
school. I didn't know that. It was his and he installed it because he used
my computer alot. I guess I assumed that it was his. All this searching and
talking with the nice fellow at microsoft put the pieces together. He
suggested 3 places that I may write to because of my disability.
Many thanks, again.

Glad you got it sorted out but probably not to your liking.

Good luck on getting a new version at a decent price.
