Is office 97 compatible with Windows XP?

Well there do seem to be some quirks that pop up from time to time after you
install it. You'd have to check others about specifics, but it seems they
aren't totally backwards compatible. That being said, I just downloaded
Office 97 onto XP and the only glitch is that I can't get the spell check
to work on OE because the dictionary it uses is in Word.

Go here (a good site to bookmark) and look for an article

There are actually several articles at Microsoft discussing various
problems... and a Google for outlook express spell check will turn
up several other discussions of problems and solutions
