Is Outlook 2010 always on top of other applications?

I am finding an annoyance in using Outlook 2010 beta in that it is always on
top of other applications. If I, for example, open a specific message in
Outlook it will pop up behind Outlook, causing me to to minimize Outlook and
find the message.

Is this a "feature" which I can turn off or a bug?

It’s a bug and is limited to just you. :)

Are you using any add-ins? Because LinkedIn is known to cause this and as do
other add-ins when used over VPN (again, older versions of outlook), I'd
look at addins. Try starting outlook in safe mode to see if it works ok.

Hi Diane,

I feel like the case isn't just limited to Jason. I am experiencing the same
problem here. Outlook window appears on top of other windows. What's annoying
here is that IM pop-up messages get hidden behind the Outlook so that I have
to minimize Outlook window each time I want to view IM messages or drop some
lines in IM.
I don't have any third-party addins. Here is the list of COM add-ins that I
have available in my Outlook:
Business Connectivity Services Add-In
Microsoft Access Outlook Add-in for Data Collection and Publishing
Microsoft Exchange Add-In
Microsoft Outlook Social Connector
Microsoft SharePoint Server Colleague Import Add-in
Microsoft SharePoint Workspace Proxy for Outlook Add-in
Microsoft VBA for Outlook Addin
OneNote Notes about Outlook Items
OneNote Notes about Outlook Items (disabled) //dunno why it's duplicated
Windows Search Email Indexer (disabled) /*strange thing, no clue why it's
disabled, Windows Search is enabled*/

Seems to be a defect in Beta 1. Hope it's fixed already.
Any known workaround here? Thank you.
