Is Producer a standalone or an add-in?

I installed producer as a standalone but on Microsoft site it says it is an
add-in. How to get this functionality (add-in) ?

Producer is stand alone but requires PowerPoint for some of its
functionality -- so in some sense PowerPoint is a an "add-in" for Producer.
