Is the EULA covering different language versions?

I have a PC with Office 2003 Satndard Retail in Swedish and would like to
uninstall Swedish and install English version.

Does anyone know if the MS Office 2003 standard licence is covering same
product English version?
Calling to MS we have got contradictionary answers, positive and negative.

Installation serial number is accepted but activation fails.
I searched from MS but couldn't find any direct answer.
I have got the feeling that it's acceptable by EULA.

nah, you don't have the right to use a different language version, only in
volume license editions.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. If you could specify more percisely, where and how
it's written.
It's a Retail version, not an OEM.
It sounds rather discimininating in Europe where there are often maybe up to
5 national local MS Office versions sold, all in a distance of 50 miles ....
I personally still can't believe, that people can't choose the installation
language version, which best suites at the given situation, which may change
easily.
