Is the only way to make a ¢ symbol in an e-mail to copy it from W.

I can't find a way to make a " ¢ " on an e-mail or in Messenger other than to
copy one from Word. Shortcut keys don't seem to work. It doesn't seem to be
in the "Symbols" or "Wingdings" fonts. Since I can copy and paste it must be
supported.

You may find the tool AllChars useful. Using it, you can make a ¢ symbol by
pressing CTRL, then "c", then "/". Other combined character combinations
are as easy. For example, the registered trademark symbol, ®, is CTRL, then
"r", then "o". Find AllChars at http://allchars.zwolnet.com/ . It's free.
