Is there a maximum schedule size for Microsoft Project?

Rumor has it there is a maximum size for a Project schedule, just want to
know if this is true? or if there is a point at which issues occur

First point is the maximum size the scheduler can usefully understand and
work with. Project 2003 can handle 1 million tasks but I suspect even in a
consolidated project report 10,000 is too many unless filtering is applied.
