Actually, I understood every word of this post - scary, no?
You can use the Windows Installer Clean-up Utility to get rid of any errant Office 12 files and then do a manual view to see if all the shared folders, etc. have been removed.

After furious head scratching, WorkinMan asked:
| Hello Ms. Staples, we weren't sure of Office 2007 was installed on a
| particular workstation and then been uninstalled. If it had been the
| case, it may have been affecting another application as a result.
| We've since ruled out the possible installation/uninstallation.
| Another application (unrelated to the one having troubles) placed a
| template in the Startup folder of Office12 (without checking to see
| if there was an install of Office12. It simply created a folder. I
| was able to verify this by taking a look at another machine on which
| I was sure there was no installation of Office 2007 which also had
| the other application installed on it as well but is not having any
| issues with the application in which we are having troubles. Is this
| as clear as mud?
|
| Thanks for the quick reply.
