Is there a running writing font in office 2003?

J

JoAnn Paules [MVP]

Running writing? If I wrote when I ran, it would look like ............
well, a mess.

Try searching Google for additional fonts.

J

JoAnn Paules [MVP]

I figured as much but in my weird mind I saw myself trying to write while
running.

Just like a computer with 2007 Beta2 installed huh?

running around in circles trying to get 2007 Beta2
running.... Get the picture?

Especially fun when they have to reinstall or rebuild the OS
because the Beta crashed it and they don't have either the
installation disks ("misplaced"), they are broken (never had
them..) or they have misplaced the software Key.

BTW, what newsgroups have you been reading? You been hanging
around the beta site/s?

No, but I might have to. My husband said I could run the Office beta on his
system. Got it downloaded, dropped the firewall, but still can't activate
it. Need to read the archives. (Imagine that - a person with an Office issue
who will actually read the archives for a solution.)

So far, I do NOT like the new interface. But once you find out how to create
a new page, I like the layout and preview of the templates. And where the
hell is the Help menu?

Hi JoAnn,

The help dialog is behind the (?) icon on the right side of the Ribboned window (or F1) but it's not yet complete.

If you're using a router with advanced security protocols that can also block the activation wizard from working.

Be sure to send your likes/dislikes directly to the MS Office team using the 2007 beta feedback tool from the link below :)

But my problem is that my systems are all production
systems, unless I can get the keyboard up and running on my
older laptop (the one I spilled Diet Coke into). That is
now a spare. Then I may consider beta testing.

Good luck on yours. Let us all know what you think JoAnn.

That is why I said what I said. I know you will tell us
your honest opinion.

I don't always agree totally with what you say, but I do
read and listen to what you do say and respect your
judgement most of the time. That's one of the reasons you
have MVP at the end of your tag. I'm going to have to start
looking at the Publisher NG to see what is going on there
even though I don't use it too much. Most of my page layout
work is in PageMaker.

I'd be seriously scared if I met a person who agreed with everything I said.
Even my husband doesn't do that. :)

I've never used PageMaker. Almost all of my experience in DTP is in
Publisher so I readily admit I'm biased. There could be programs out there
better for that purpose but I haven't found any. I have seen that I do NOT
like doing websites in Publisher - talk about using the wrong tool for the
job. The only thing worse that using Publisher for a website is using Word.
If it ain't worse it's at least equally as bad.

Hubby will have my car tomorrow and they are calling for rain again so I'll
be home-bound. Looks like a good excuse to go play on his computer. Stay
tuned - criticism at 11.

For the keyboard, have you consodered using an external USB/PS2 to get
your work done and then scrap the laptop when it is finished!!

Yep, have one hooked to it when I am absolutely needing it.
I have most of my important stuff removed anyway. I've
already replaced the "nasty" computer with an upgraded model
but if I can get the system's keyboard and touchpad working
OK, it will be a great giveaway to someone later.

The only problem I have encountered with the non-laptop
keyboard is when I am attempting to show a projected movie.
The laptop's video isn't strong enough to send a movie
signal to both the laptop's screen and the projector (a
common cheap computer problem.) To switch video output you
need the Fn key and the F5 key on the computer. Well, guess
which key is not functioning? It isn't the Fn. The 2 key
is also stuck most of the time which really makes it hard to
put in a password.
