Is there a setting or security change for establishing deliverable

We re running MSP 2007 server and are now wanting to use the Deliveralbe
functionality. When I go to create a Deliverable, I can get to the point of
clicking Done, when I get a message saying "The Project Server has denied
access to the requested data. Please contact your server administrator."
Any help would be appreciated

No, there is no specific permission in Project Server 2007 that
allows/forbids a PM from creating Deliverables in a project. Deliverables
are actually a feature of SharePoint. Out of curiosity, if you navigate to
the Project Workspace for your project, click the Deliverables link in the
Quick Launch Menu on the left, and then create a new Deliverable, are you
able to do this in the Project Workspace? If not, that means that is some
type of problem with your WSS system. Also, you might try creating a new
Risk and Issue in your Project Workspace to see if there are larger problems
with WSS then just the Deliverable. Please post back the results of your
testing and we will try to help you. Let us know.

Hello,

Marlene52 -- Were you able to resolve the issue?

I came across the same issue. We are on Project Server 2007, SP2, Aug CU.

When I create a deliverable via the Collaborate menu, I can get to the point
of clicking Done, when I get the "The Project Server has denied access to the
requested data. Please contact your server administrator." message. I am
able to create issues, risks and deliverables in the Project Workspaces, but
not in Project Professional.

We recently migrated Project Server databases to a new server. Our
environment is set up as follows:
Server 1 - Web Front End/Application Server
Server 2 - SQL Server/Reporting Services

Any guidance or insight you could offer will be appreciated.

Thank you.

When you create objects in the workspace, can you actually link them to tasks
in the workspace by clicking on the link button? The create object security
setting might be the culprit here (although I doubt it).
