I am sure there should be some way,
Is there a way I can monitor the NEWSGROUPS using MS Outlook not Outlook

Can somebody tell me if I am missing anything.

You would have to go 3rd party to get newsgroup support in Outlook. (e.g.
http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/nntp/)
