Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

I downloaded a software which can convert powerpoint to .wmv from <http://dvd-ppt-slideshow.com> But I every time I converted, there is no sound. But when I send the software as well as the file to my frend, he could convert it perfectly. Is that my system problem or my version of powerpoint?

From what I can see this software is "Windows-Only" & not related to
anything from MS other than the fact that it is supposed to convert files
produced by PowerPoint. I doubt you'll find anyone here who is authoritative
on that product. Your best bet is to get in touch with the folks you got it
from. They're the ones who should be able to help you make it work :)

That's nice, but did you notice the first "Key feature" on their web
site????

E.M. PowerPoint Video Converter Key Features:

* Support PowerPoint 2000 / 2002 / 2003 / 2007.

None of the supported versions are for Macintosh. There is no Macintosh
version. The download is a Windows-ONLY file.

With the first key feature being that it doesn't work on Mac, I can just
imagine how well the other features work.

This is a Macintosh group. If the developers were to make a Mac version
of their product it would probably get a warm reception rather than the
cold shoulder here.

Spammers, no matter which platform, remain spammers.

And who but a spammer would flog their Windows-only-wares in a Mac group?

Sorry, I didn't notice it is based on windows. I have solved the problem by downloading another software base on Mac. Thanks you guys!
I am not a spamer, as someone said. Really sorry!

The "spammer" reference wasn't to you, but to another poster in the thread
who's blindly & indiscriminately hawking a *Windows-Only* video converter in
a Mac group.
