Is there a way to create a thumbnail image of a page in Front Page

R

Rob Giordano \(Crash\)

Take a screenshot (the PrtScn key on your keyboard), open your favorite
image editor, create a new blank page, the Paste (Ctrl+V) edit the image
(crop...whatever) save it as a jpg.

Thanks for the response. That didn't work. I tried all the different programs I use (they have different filters). One just pasted the text. Another pasted the text with transparent background, two wouldn't paste at all. I also tried "word" but it wouldn't copy and paste the background.

Robyn,
Strange. I have done it.

On my page http://tandcl.homemail.com.au there is a side menu, of which one
of the entries is Site Map. The icon for this entry was created just as Rob
said.

I took a screen shot with the PrtScr key, then opened an image editor with a
blank page and pasted it in. I would then have cropped what I didn't want
and saved it as a .jpg file.

Because it was quite a while ago, I can't recall what image editor I used,
but I am sure Paint would do the job quite OK. In fact, I created a test
file from my web page just now using Paint. (I can't attach it, but it
certainly works) Since Paint is part of the MS
software, you can use this - you don't need anything fancy.

So, can you describe exactly what you did and Rob and I can compare it with
what we have done?

I'll try again using paint. Actually I was using every but - Corel Draw,
Corel photopaint, an image editor that was bundled with my scanner...

I have to go to work now but I'll try again using paint when I get hom.
Thanks Trevor and Rob

Oh my gosh - you guys are the best. It did work. The problem was of my own
making. I use a laptop. You have use the function key in combination with
alt-printscreen. Perfect. Thanks again
