Is there a way to merge 2 tables into one?

I would like to merge or combine 2 tables into one. THe left of one table
will border on the right-side of the other, so that they are side by side.

THey are not the same height.

I am on 2003.
Thanks!

Depends what you mean by "merge." I'm having a hard time envisioning exactly
what you want if the tables are not the same height. Do the tables have the
same number of rows? Is their content continuous? Or do you just want them
side by side?

The easiest way to do this -- assuming you don't want a complicated nested
structure -- is to modify one table (let's call it table B), adding a
sufficient number of rows/columns to accommodate the dimensions of the other
table (table A). Once that's done, copy the contents of table A to the
clipboard. Select the destination cells in table B, and paste the contents
of A into place.

I want the tables to be side-by-side without space between them. Also, the
rows are the same height but there are differing numbers of rows.
