Is there an upgrade for Visio from 95 to XP?

I purchased Visio for my old laptop which was windows 95. That pc is no
longer working and I have a new laptop that is Windows XP. Do I have to
repurchase the newer version, or can I upgrade?

the only version that is "upgradeable" is v2000 sr1, other wise you get to
purchase new. Be aware that there have been changes in what is in the
product (i.e. addons have changed and some supported functionality is no
longer there). If you're at v5 (and still have the install package) you
might consider using the old version.

Which version of Visio do you have?

From past reports, it is possible to run all version of Visio under Windows
XP (even Visio 1.0).

If you have Visio 5 and try to install it on Windows XP, you may recieve
some error messages. These message scan be ignored.
