Is there any provision to enable/disable logs of conversation?

Hi,
I was probing into the possibility that if there is any provision to
generate logs of the conversation in communicator.If yes, then how to
disable/enable it.Also, is there any posibility to hide the pop up window for
sometime and get back to conversation later.
