is version 3 of bcm backward compatible to version 2 of bcm

Hans

Hi,

I'm trying to access a shared bcm database with version 3 of bcm (Office
2K7). The 'server' is using an older version 2 of bcm (Office 2K3 +
updates).
I already can think of the answer (because it's not working) but I would
like my assumption to be confirmed (<-is this correct english?).

So...anybody who knows it exactly?

Thanks in advance and regards
Hans

No backward or forward compatibility.

No backward or forward compatibility.

Latter versions of BCM will upgrade older databases, but then the
older BCM clients can no longer use the upgraded database.

This is the correct answer (you can upgrade a database to a new version). I
meant it is not possible to use different versions at the same time.
