isn't possible to create a link

Trying to link a wmv file into PPT. I use Insert / Object and browse for the
file and check the Link checkbox. PPT responds "It isn't possible to create
a link to <filename>" but, of course, doesn't explain WHY. Both the wmv
file and the presentation are on my Desktop, so no network issues. Any ideas?

Use insert movie instead.
