Isn't the mdw supposed to session-based?

It seems I'm staying in my secure mdw after I've closed that Access session.
I've created a workgroup (in Access '03), and nowhere in that operation do I
see where you select if it's going to be the default (except if I create a
new mdw as part of the wizard process). Of course I'd like the System.mdw to
be the default so I don't get prompted for a password when opening all the
unsecure mdb's I've accumulated in the past - and it'd be nice if I don't
have to manually join the sytem mdw to get there.

Manually rejoin the default system.mdw workgroup with workgroup administrator.
Every time you want to open a secured db, use a shortcut in this format:

"path to msaccess.exe" "path to db.mdb" /wrkgrp "path to workgroup file"

You won't be prompted for user name and password unless you're opening a
secure db with a shortcut.
