Issue printing newsletter that was emailed

J

John Hart

I just completed a newsletter targeted at executives within our company.
When the document is loaded and I open the Page Setup dialog box, the Layout
options are:

Publication type: Custom
Page Size : Width: 9.5" Height: 44"
Orientation: Landscape

When I send the newsletter as an email, only the first page will print. Any
suggestions how I might correct this problem before sending it out to our
executives who will undoubtedly want to print the message.

Thank you

Well I am not surprised it will only print the first length of the paper you
have loaded in the printer.

You need to setup the same page size as the printers use which is normally
A4 and is 29.7cm in length.

The newsletter is HTML. When you are using an Internet Browser on webpage
that is greater than 8.5X11, it causes the printer to go to the next page.
When I send the newsletter as an HTML message, it only prints detail on the
first page. On the remaining pages, it only prints the page number and page
title. The message is clearly communicating the number of pages to the
printer, but it only prints the detail from the first page.

After managing to set up OE-QuoteFix on his new PC, Ed reads a message

May I suggest saving the Publisher file as HTML on your Intranet, and
emailing a link to the page to your directors.
Or just printing it out and giving them printed copies.

I came to the same conclusion Ed. It's just very strange that Microsoft can
format the HTML email message perfectly, but cannot print it. This sounds
like a bug in their software to me.

Thank you for your input.
