ISSUE/RISK assign to

I have several projects all using ISSUES/RISKs. I created a new project,
built team but no assignment in the project plan. (Really don't need to). I
have published etc. I can not see the users in my built team (from
enterprise resources) in the assign to field. In the past, all I had to do
was do the synchronize in the manage sharepoint site area. Then they would
appear. Now it does not work anymore. What did I miss?

If I remember correctly, team members are not assigned to the
sharepoint site until they have at least 1 assignment. You may want to
consider creating a generic task and assigning all your team members to
that task to span that process.

THanks Gary, I know that adding them to a task will work, but that is a
nasty work around. The intent is to allow people to the ISSUES area without
cluttering up their timesheet. I'm going to get 100's of calls from users
asking "why does this task show up in my task list?" I would hope that
Microsoft would have had a bettter interface for managing this.
