Originally I believe I made a copy of the standard menu
bar and edited it. That edited functionality was reset to
access defaults on the next machine.
so...I built a new menubar from scratch using the GUI.
Used 'new menu' choice and 'custom' commnads, all of which
I then customized.
Works on the next machine now!
