Italic type question

Mel

I have a word document typed out. I want to add Italic type at different
spots in the document. Is there a way to have the Italic come on
permanently while I do this instead of having to click the Italic button
every time I change location?

hi mel

you might like to use the format painter instead ... make a word italic,
double click on it then double click on the format painter icon (big yellow
paintbrush on standard toolbar) now go & click on anything else you want
italic ... when you've finished, click on the format painter icon again to
turn it off.

Cheers

If you are adding text press CTRL+I at the start of each new section before
entering the text. If you want to italicise already written text select it
and press CTRL+I.

....
or format a word in italic,
select the next word and use the F4-Key to repeat
the last editing action, which was "format italic".
If you delete a character, the last action was
deleting and F4 will repeat deleting, of course.
