iterating and modifying headerfooter objects

I have a lrge word document (400 pages) with 30 sections. In each section there is a footer (left and right page). In each footer there is a page number in textbox and small black line - just a straight line connector. How to iterate through each object and adjust the position of the line and of textbox. It must be very precise because the book is prepared for printing.
