I've just about screamed myself hoarse!

I've never been so frustrated! I'm trying to do something (relatively)
simple. I have a music staff set up on a master page and I want to layer the
noteheads. This is where the frustration comes in. I have them set up as a
group (on the working page), and you would think it would be a simple matter
of dragging them to the required position on the staff, but no. They
disappear. They appear to go BEHIND the staff (which is, as I've already
stated, on the master page). No matter what I do I can't seem to get them
back. However, if I drag them to the bottom half of the page (which is
blank, nothing on the master) then I can do whatever the hell I like with
them! I have updated my graphics card driver (Radeon 9800 Pro) but that's
not done anything, my printer is also using the latest.

The funny thing is, you can still see the text box outlines (well bits of
them). I have screenshots if anyone wants to look at them - as I can't
describe this very well.

Any assistance - please?

To add to this if I switch to the Master and back again, they reappear. I
also have no problems if I select each element individually.

What in Hades is going on?!

I'm a Pub 2000 user and the way it's done in this version is select the item
you want on the surface and click on "Bring to front" or "Send to Back"
buttons (looks like three squares) on the tool bar and or make one or the
other layer transparent by using the Cntrl T.

Thanks, but you're missing the point. They're disappearing behind the image
on the *MASTER* - that shouldn't happen when they're on the working (upper)
layer. I've tried using the order controls but, of course, they don't work,
because it should be impossible for an image on the top layer to disappear
behind an image on the master. Are you with me so far?

As I also said, it only happens when the elements are grouped. If I ungroup
them, and move them individually, everything's fine.

Give me a valid email address and I'll mail you the damned thing and see if
it happens to you.
