JAlbum publishing

I have created a photo album w/ JAlbum, imported the album file into FP, then
published to my server (w/FP extensions). When I click on a link to the album
on the live site, I get a file download/save question instead of seeing the
album. I did NOT use the FTP publish option inside JAlbum because some
people in their forum suggested it could cause a problem. QUESTION: Now that
I've created my JAlbum, how do I get it published into my FP site. Thanks!

What album file?...not an exe type album - or you've imported JAlbum itself?

Here's how you do it...

Create your JAlbum gallery/slideshow into a folder outside of FP. Once you
are happy with your gallery outside of FP, then just import that folder into
FP. You don't bring along JAlbum itself....just the created gallery folder.

Hi Rob:

1. Your reply made me realize that I saved the JAlbum project files in a
different folder than where the pictures are located (Doh!!). Thanks.

But...

2. I now have the album folder imported into FP as you said. I can view the
thumbnail page just fine in Design and Preview modes, but when I try to open
it on my live site (after uploading!) none of the photos are there; all I can
see is the 'skin.' Any suggestions.

This is a JAlbum Follow up re thumbnails not appearing in published site:
According to the JAlbum site, Norton Anti-Virus/ Ad Blocker has a bug that
prevents it from displaying thumbnails of a certain size, and they are
absolutely right! When I switch off my Norton Internet Security, then clear
my temporary internet files, and refresh, the thumbnails appear. When I turn
Norton back on, they disappear.

I've tried resizing the thumbnails as per the JAlbum website instructions,
but my thumbnails won't appear unless I turn off Norton.

Since a lot of the world uses Norton, it would seem that JAlbum is a pretty
useless program until Norton gets around to fixing their bug (won't hold my
breath!).

Thanks to Rob Giordano (Crash) for responding to my original post.
