Is there a difference between Japanese Office 2007 and using the Japanese
Language Pack?

If you install English Office plus Japanese Language Pack you will have a
choice of either English or Japanese for the user interface language used by
Office applications. You will be able to use proofing tools for English,
French, Spanish and Japanese. You will have stationery for both Japanese
and English. This includes form letters, fax cover sheets and things like
that.

If you install Japanese Office you will have Japanese only for the user
interface language, and access to proofing tools in English and Japanese.
You will have Japanese stationery.

Otherwise when you have English Office and select Japanese as the interface
language, it is supposed to behave like Japanese Office. I don't have
direct experience, but the German Language Pack I have works this way.

The Language Packs cost $24.95 at the US site. You may find the Language
Pack Demo useful.
