Java applets in pp

Is it possible to add java applets directly in powerpoint
or do we have to first add them in a web page, and then
inseret the web page in pp.

Yes, Java applets will have to be added to a web page first. Take a look at
this free add-in: LiveWeb - http://www.mvps.org/skp/liveweb.htm to display
web pages within a presentation.
