JET ENGINE ?

What is the "Jet Engine" error ?

I am running an update query to change UserName from "John Smith" to "Smith,
John" and I get a lengthy error message that essentially says the Jet Engine
can't perform the task.

But, when I run the same database with the same update query on another PC
it works OK.

Using Access 2003 on both PC's

Any ideas why I'm getting this error on one PC and not the other?

Thanks in advance

Paul,

Without seeing the query or having the specifics of the error I would
suggest checking references on both machines. (Go to Design Mode on any
form or report; Click the Modules button so you get to the Code window
behind the object; Select Tools and then References). You can also check to
see if both machines have the same updates installed.

uh.. according to my calculations-- Jet is one big fucking bug in
itself.

Jet corrupts-- move to SQL Server.

it's a pretty simple equation.

the dipshits around here claim that it's the networks fault.. that
it's your code's fault.. that it's the users fault (for leaving the
application signed in at night).

GAG-- Jet is buggy.
DAOn't fucking use it!
