Job # field

Hello,

Our company uses a job 3 to track projects. Example 04-
1R067. In Project the Job name is enter as Beyond
Billards.

Is there anyway that I can assign a Job# and Job name? We
do use Microsoft Server as well and would like to display
the job #. and the Job name.

Just in case you are wondering the job # is used for the
accounting system we uses Timberline.

To track the job number for each project, you will need to open the
Enterprise Global and customize one of the enterprise project fields. Given
your requirements to enter the job number with both numbers and characters,
I think an enterprise project text field would work for this purpose. You
could make this custom field a required field so that every project manager
will be forced to supply this information before he/she can save the project
in the Project Server database. Hope this helps.
