Joining Text

I previously began using Visio after using Micrografx. In Micrografx, when you had two or more liines of text and wanted to join them together, there was a tool that allowed this. I've never had any formal training in Visio and have searched how to join lines of text together. Can someone tell me if it is possible to join text together in Visio and if so how to do it correctly?

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do here, since I am not
familiar with the exact Micrografx tool.

One thing that you can do is group two text boxes together. This can be done
by selecting both boxes then selecting the Shapes>Grouping>Group menu item.
Once you have done that, the text boxes will move together.
