Journal Entry - Timer is invisible

in the Journal Entry form, there is an option for starting and pausing a
timer. great! then in the banner for Starttime and duration, there is a
image of a stop watch. when you click start timer or pause timer, this image
gets animated. sadly, for my install of office, this image is a ghost - only
a gray outline - it's practially invisible. i've seen it in full color on
other installations. what happened to mine?

I have the same problem. I think it started only after an upgrade to MSO SP1
(12.0.6213.1000). I am running Office 2007 Standard on Vista Home Premium
with SP1.

Frustrating when something basic like this stops working through no fault of
your own and there seems to be no KB article, nothing out there....

Anyone know what's going on?
