How do I open a jpeg file? I get a Conversion 100-2350 Microsoft Word error
page with scrambled coding. There are no encoding choices that make a
difference in the results.

You don't *open* a JPEG in Word; to edit a JPEG you need a graphics
application. If you're just trying to insert a picture into Word, use Insert
| Picture | From File.
