Jpg blurry when inserted into Word Doc

I am using Word 2002 sp2

I need to insert an image (which displays the company logo) into the
company's Word templates. I have tried inserting the jpg image into a text
box and straight into the document (Menu: insert - picture - from file). I
have tried a paste special and a regular paste. The same problem occurs with
all approaches. The image is not crisp but blurry.

To display a crisp image rather than a blurry one:
What is the best way for me to bring the image into the document?

What is the best image file format to use for this type of exercise?

I have an urgent deadline for this task! Any help would be greatly
appreciated!! Many thanks.

Is it just the display, just the printout, or both that are blurry? Does the
JPEG print well from other applications?
