junk email folder has errors

When I load email. The junk email folder will not work. all mail goes to
the inbox. When I click on the junk email folder it tells me there is an
error and I should run scanpst.exe and i can't find it anywhere. Everything
I have tried will not correct this problem. I miss the junk folder and have
been over working the delete button. Any help would be appreciated. Dan

Depending on your version of Outlook, scanpst can be executed from Start
-> Porgrams -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Tools -> Inbox
Repair Tool.

I have not got that version. my office tools has not got a inbox repair tool

All versions of Office have the Inbox Repair Tool. It might be available on
the Start menu as Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office Tools>Inbox Repair
Tool or Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office>MIcrosoft Office Tools>Inbox
Repair Tool (as Pat said), or it might simply be on disk. For Office
versions 2003 and earlier and on an English installation of WIndows, look in
%CommonProgramFIles%\System\MSMAPI\1033 (a hidden folder) for "scanpst.exe".
For Office 2007, look in %ProgramFiles%\Office12
