Junk Mail Folder message retention

Hi,

How long to the messages marked as "Junk" stay in the "Junk Mail"
folder after
they are placed in there? I can't seem to find any settings to change
the message
retention time.

They stay there until you or possibly auto-archiving get rid of them. You
can configure auto-archiving to delete the messages after a certain period
of time

Maybe you have to use Auto-Archiving (hit F1 when in Outlook to get info on
it). You have to enable the global auto-archive function in options, and
then you have to enable auto-archiving on each folder where you want to use
it (unless you use the Apply button in the global options provided you want
the same settings for each folder, but I really doubt you want the junk
around for months).

Enable the global auto-archive option.
Enable auto-archive on the Junk folder.
You'll probably want to use permanently delete on the Junk folder.
