Junk mail rules and exchange server

[Wondering]

When I attempt to designate a message as Junk mail I receive an error message
indicating that I cannot use this function because I am on an exchange server
and working online. I states that I must switch to the "cached exchange
mode." What exactly is the cached exchange mode? And, will it eliminate any
of the benefits of being on an exchange server?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me.

If you want to use junk mail w/Exchange, you need to enable cached mode.
