just installed outlook to replace outlook express but options onl.

running xp, wanted to use outlook not express, installed the disc, but now I
can't find how to replace express with outlook

When you open up outlook it will tell you Outlook is not your primary e-mail
program. It will ask you if you would like to make it your primary e-mail
program. You will need to select yes. Hope this helps.

You don't replace Outlook Express with Outlook. Outlook is a completely
different application that can be installed an used instead of or in
parallel with Outlook Express.
