Just purchased DSL, and now my preview will not work

O

Omar

I usually check the page using the preview, and preview
on browser before uploading changes onto my web site.
However, I just purchased DSL through Verizon, and I can
no longer view my site through the preview or preview it
on the browser.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Run a Repair on Internet Explorer.
Add/Remove programs, click on Internet Explorer, click Add/Remove and the Repair panel
should open.

Verizon DSL Tech

It's a good thing I was getting ready to post another
question myself outside of work but seing as how I saw
this I just couldn't resist.. ok you just installed DSL
from Verizon.. and now you can't see the previewed page..
ok first off if you have a firewall turn it off.. second
if you just installed DSL and the "ready" or "dsl" light
on the westell modem is flashing that means your not in
sync.. you may have to wait until your SRD before being
able to post again.. although you should still be able to
see what you have done even working in an offline mode.
try going to Mysite.verizon.net upload your files there
and see if you can see it from there if not answer the
last guys question and keep getting help from him.. if
you need more help call 18005676789 and at the second
option say "DSL Tech Support" that will get you right in
with the Tech support reps.

Can't see how that would effect local viewing of your FP
website, unless they installed something on your
machine...like a proprietary version of a browser.
You could have problems with viewing the online web if they installed a firewall

Are you having problems accessing www at all?

named "Newton".

appearance in "The Simpsons". ;-)

But nothing in the DSL setup should affect the User from viewing a local copy of his site in IE using File Preview in Browser
- unless the user has IE still set to use his old Dialup for a connection

In IE, Tools Internet Options Connections
And select Never Dial a Connection (if the DSL is always online),
or the DSL Verizon Online Control Panel (if DSL is not always on)
