Rose,
Click Format | Font then click the Character Spacing tab.
Note the settings there;
Try setting them to:
Scale = 100%
Spacing = Condensed (look to the right of that and set
to .1)
Position = Normal
Kerning for fonts = make sure the box is deselected.
