Justified text -- how to override stretching short last line

Hello...

In a publication where the text is justified, Publisher seems to stretch the
last line to fill the space. Is there a way to override this feature so the
line ends with the space at the end (not equally distributed between all the
words)?

Thanks in advance.

Either turn off stretch justify and use regular justify, or, if you've
already done that, make sure you're inserting a true paragraph break
(Return key) rather than a line break (Shift+Return).

Thanks Ed.
I'm sorry to be such a ninny and I've used Publisher for years -- but WHERE
do I turn off stretch/justify? I always make paragraph breaks with Return
and not Shift+Return.

Thanks in advance...Gial

Don't worry - I was a little muddled; the feature in Publisher is called
"Distribute all lines", and is visible in Format > Paragraph. You're
probably got Justify selected already, though.

Are you inserting column or text box breaks?

This is another simple fix. After the last character on the final line,
enter one or two tab spaces.
