I'm trying to install:

Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB946691)

It is failing over and over with 0x80070641 error.

What does 0x80070641 mean? How do I fix this?

Hi
We've just had the same trouble - The office Updates failed as did Service
Pack 3 for XP - same error code. I fixed it by looking at my update history
on the web (obtained by going to the Update site via Windows Update from the
Internet Explorer Tools menu) and then doing a system restore, choosing a
checkpoint immediately after the last successful update but also being
before the date of the failed ones. Hope this helps those of you who find
your way here!
